What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community?

Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) allow retirement aged people to "age in place," with flexible accommodations that are designed to meet their social, housing and health needs as they change over time. Residents entering Continuing Care Retirement Communities sign a Life-Care agreement that provides for housing, services and health services, usually all in one location, enabling seniors to remain in a familiar setting as they enjoy a care-free retirement.

Retirement minded people enter into a CCRC/Life-Care agreement while they are healthy and active, knowing they will be able to stay in the same community and receive more health care services as they become necessary. Our residents who invest in Life-Care have adequately planned for their retirement, housing and health services for the remainder of their life!

Life-Care lets you plan for the future, so you can live for today. With Life-Care, you and your family can enjoy true peace of mind when it comes to your health care. You can lock in today’s prices and protect yourself against rising health care costs in the future. Your estate will be better protected from unexpected care center costs.

Continuing Care Retirement Communities offer service and living packages that allow access into independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities. Residents who are independent live in an apartment or suite within the Continuing Care retirement complex. Residents who choose to live in a Continuing Care Retirement Community find it reassuring that their long-term care needs will be met without the need to relocate.
